The Gutierrez house has Internet again.

The new modem arrived today and I can finally feel like I'm alive again.  It's nice because I was actually expecting it to come tomorrow.  Having no Internet though, has sort of been a nice change of pace.  I managed to get a lot of reading done.  I actually finished a novel this morning because I was so bored, but that's actually nothing compared to the tons of useless shit that I consume while I'm in front of a computer screen.

Quit Facebook Day is in less than a week.

The date is set for May 31st, which is next Monday. People are deciding to organize against Facebook because of its privacy settings and some other vague reasons. As of right now, there's almost 15,000 users ready to quit. I see their reasoning behind it and all that, but I'm not going to be on this bandwagon, mostly because I sort of understand that the Internet isn't really the place for things you want to keep private.
